This milk is a lovely and inexpensive base milk for a lot of creamy bevies, like smoothies, warming elixirs, lattes, and of course, for those of you who drink it on the reg, coffee. I can’t express how EASY it is to make, especially since you DON’T need to use a nut milk bag to strain it.
Word of warning: there will be fine particles in this milk, so feel free to strain them out further (though I find it a waste of time).
RECIPE: Homemade Hemp Seed Mylk
Makes: 4 cups (approximate)
Time: 3 minutes
Taste: Nutty & Creamy
Good For: Meal prep for smoothies, elixirs, and coffee
INGREDIENTS
6T hemp seeds
3.5-4C water
1t vanilla extract (alcohol-free)
pinch of pink Himalayan salt
INSTRUCTIONS
Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender until smooth (approximately 30-45 seconds).
Seal and refrigerate immediately. Keeps for up to 5 days (smell to be sure).
