Recipe Rewrites: Dill Pickles, Coconut Yogurt & A Chocolate Bar

I have recently come into possession of a lot of free time. Lucky me! So, what did I do? I played around in the kitchen, of course!

Farmers markets are in full swing here in Vancouver. I visited one and picked up all the fixing for pickles. I've NEVER made pickles before and this was the perfect opportunity for me to try it out. It took 20 minutes. That's...it. I also made coconut yogurt and a chocolate bar!

Skipping ahead to when everything had set...results are:

DILL PICKLES
Damn good! I took this recipe, brought it down to the jar size I needed and skipped the boiling water bath so I could enjoy them faster).

COCONUT YOGURT
Well, I kind of forgot about it and it soured a bit before I got it in the fridge. I will try it again, though. Now that I know how easy it is to make I can't bring myself to buy it.

CHOCOLATE BAR
Holy hell, what a divine treat! (Adapted from the chocolate dip section of this recipe, to which I added crushed almonds, dried cherries and Himalayan salt, poured into a loaf pan lined with parchment paper and froze).

All it took was an hour + a little bit of guts + a lot of cravings for, well, everything a pregnant lady could want. So what if I'm not pregnant.
